  • Responsibilities

    As a Virtual Account Manager - Industrial at Crescent Electric, you will be responsible for making 20 outbound calls daily & achieve gross profit growth targets within your designated vertical market. In this role, you will proactively build and maintain client relationships and to provide solutions for all size business in the designated markets sectors. You will have a high sense of urgency, commitment to Action Selling sales methodology, dedicated usage of the CRM and the ability to build strong relationships are critical for succession in the role.


    • Achieve gross profit growth targets through use of Action Selling within a named set of accounts.
    • Develop contacts and relationships within assigned accounts to retain existing business.
    • Expand contacts and relationships within assigned accounts to acquire new opportunities.
    • Drive product category penetration across assigned accounts.
    • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with Account Executive personnel.
    • Make outbound calls daily to named accounts to cultivate relationships and source new opportunities.
    • Grow named accounts within your territory through profiling, targeting, and prospecting within existing and targeted named accounts.
    • Develop, grow, and manage an adequate pipeline of opportunities within named account base determined each year.
    • Provide excellent comprehensive customer service by pro-actively managing back orders, returns, service and support tickets, credit applications, and outstanding invoices.
    • Leverage key manufacturer relationships within assigned region to position Crescent Electric as the partner of choice.
    • Utilizing digital capabilities to further enhance effectiveness and penetration of accounts.


    • High degree of analytical skill, financial acumen, and strong business management skills.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with a commitment to collaborate with people.
    • Understanding of digital tools and how to utilize them in the sales process.
    • Ability to develop and build long-term customer relationships with key decision makers.
    • Driven, self-motivated, and a desire to be successful with a high sense of urgency.
    • Strong technical aptitude.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills - outgoing, well-spoken, and polished individuals.
    • Proficient with various telephone systems, BI systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM technologies in addition to basic computer knowledge.
    • Hybrid role with minimum two days a week in the office or as necessary.


    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; 1-3 years of successful sales experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel up to 5% of the time with potential overnight stays.
    • 1-3 years of successful sales experience.
    • Expert level use of sales analysis and KPIs to drive the business forward.
