Job Title: Counter Sales Representative

Location: Gainesville, FL Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

Jones Welding & Industrial Supplies is seeking a friendly, reliable Counter Sales Representative for our Gainesville location. This role is the front line of our business — greeting customers, assisting with product needs, and providing excellent service to contractors, fabricators, and industrial customers.

We’re looking for someone with strong people skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Prior industrial, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required. If you’re dependable, personable, and eager to grow, we can teach the rest.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers at the sales counter

Help customers identify products and solutions for their needs

Process sales transactions and orders accurately

Answer basic product questions and learn our inventory over time

Maintain a clean, organized counter and showroom area

Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations

Qualifications & Skills

Strong customer service and people skills

Willingness to learn products, systems, and customer needs

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Basic computer skills preferred (Gmail, PDFs, typing, general computer use)

Industrial, welding, or fabrication experience preferred but not required

Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
