Position Summary ****
An inside sales representative for Sugarman of Vermont is responsible for selling product through phone and email communication, identifying potential leads, qualifying them, and closing sales by understanding customer needs and effectively presenting product features, all while maintaining positive customer relationships within an office setting; their key duties include generating leads, cold calling, managing sales pipelines, and providing product demonstrations to convert prospects into paying customers.
Sales Associate interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers; is accountable for maintaining the sales area and providing support for co-workers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generation: Identifying and qualifying potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and other online channels.
Customer outreach: Contacting prospective clients to understand their needs and present relevant product solutions.
Sales qualification: Assessing customer interest and determining their fit for the product or service.
Product demonstrations: Providing detailed explanations of product features and benefits via phone, online presentations, or video calls. Create tailored prospect & customer account presentations for new business opportunities.
Sales pipeline management: Tracking sales opportunities through a CRM system and managing the sales process from initial contact to closing.
Negotiation: Discussing pricing and terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Closing sales: Effectively presenting proposals and overcoming objections to secure new business.
Account management: Maintaining relationships with existing clients, addressing concerns, and identifying upselling opportunities.
Market research: Staying updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and new product developments. **

** M aintain Customer Service Role:** **** Answer incoming phone calls and assist with email or portal orders as needed. Align with Logistics coordinator in tracking shipments, assessing potential damage and subsequent customer follow-up.

Other Responsibilities ****
• Maintain and follow GMP's, Food safety, HACCP, and FDA requirements.
• Compliance with SOV's Safety, Food Safety, Quality systems, SOP's,
GMP's and policies.
• Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure quality, accurate, and compliant
marketing content.
• Liaise with the shipping department to ensure timely product deliveries to
customers.
Requirements
• Proven inside sales experience OR 5 years previous customer service experience preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements ****
• Ability to lift (30 -50 lbs.), walk, kneel, squat, stoop, twist and reach overhead,
bend, stretch, stand, reach, talk and hear during the entire shift.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity.
• Ability to work in changing temperatures.
