Under the direction of, and reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and supporting relationships and works to build strong retail clientele. You will also be responsible for presenting solutions and facilitating communication through outbound and inbound calls, emails, etc., to both existing and prospect customers within an assigned sales territory.
Primary Responsibilities
Inside Sales
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Fields inbound calls, emails and texts from Account Managers and Route Sales Representatives and routes requests accordingly.
- Track all quotes for follow-up and ensure proper entry of all orders into the software system.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Act as liaison between customer and the field team.
- Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
- Maintain regular contact and develop strong relationships with internal teams.
- Monitor the inbound sales email folder and follow up with website inquiries, daily.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of supplier input, and own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
- Works with outside sales representatives with key account activities and support.
- Provide back-up on accounts for Field Sales during their absence
Secondary Responsibilities
Branch Support
- Answer incoming Branch calls, provide direction on product questions, recommendation or to place an order as well as answer customer service/accounts receivable questions.
- Provide service to incoming retail customers on gas refills and regarding hard good recommendations and sales as needed.
- Opening of retail store as needed.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and referrals.
- Assist Central McGowan employees calling in with questions and tasks.
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend appropriate solutions.
- All other duties or projects as assigned by management.
