    Mission The Inside Sales Representative serves as the face and voice of House of Rocks to customers that visit or call the store. The Inside Sales position is responsible for building a rapport with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. A successful inside sales representative will be friendly and sales-driven.

    Outcomes

    Customer Service

    Consistently greets walk-in customers immediately upon entry to the building or when encountered in the yard. Maintains a friendly & informative demeanor interacting with customers in person, over the phone, or text/e-mail.

    Makes a consistent effort to ask and record customer e-mail addresses. Ensures that walk-in customers leave with a business card, price list, and/or samples. Seeks to be the main point of contact for customers they interact with.

    Ensures display items are orderly and showroom is in clean condition

    Order Management

    Uses Point of Sale & Google Workspace software to manage orders from payment to pickup or delivery.

    Accurately entering customer and product data in Point of Sale

    Accurately scheduled

    Managing deposits or payments

    Ensure accurate items & quantities are pulled by yard staff

    Ensure pulled items are inspected and tagged

    Keep Sales Order changes up to date in Point of Sale

    Sales Development

    Satisfactory completion of assigned product learning and sales modules, consistently demonstrates sufficient knowledge of type, quantity, availability, and use of stock products.

    Required Skills / Qualifications

    Computer literacy: Windows PCs, Office software products, Google Workspace (Calendar & Gmail), Point of Sale software

    Hours House of Rocks is a seasonal business with longer hours during Spring/Summer/Fall and shorter hours during Winter. During Spring/Summer/Fall busy season, Saturday hours and overtime are required. Winter can be a relaxed 35-40 hour work schedule with ample time for vacations or other time away.

    Example Spring/Summer/Fall Weekly Schedule: 40 Hours + Overtime (Time and a half)

    Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

    Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

    Sunday: CLOSED

    Example Winter Schedule: 35 - 40 hours per week

    Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8 am – 500 pm

    Tuesday: OFF

    Sunday: CLOSED

    Salary and Benefits

    Annual Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 with overtime and bonuses

    Physical Requirements:

    This position involves frequent walking to observe various areas of the business. Ability to quickly walk from location to location throughout the yard is essential. Day to day duties will involve standing or sitting for extended periods and may involve infrequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for several hours per day. Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and humidity levels. Ability to wear protective gear including dust masks, respirators, back braces, eye and ear protection.
