Position Summary
Southern Ice Cream is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Inside Sales Representative – Special Events to manage inbound and outbound sales for our event-based services. This individual will be the first point of contact for customers planning events such as corporate functions, school festivals, community gatherings, and private parties. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Generation: Respond to inbound inquiries and actively pursue outbound opportunities for event-based ice cream services.
Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify new prospects through phone, email, and web channels; understand customer needs and event requirements.
Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers by providing outstanding service from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Quote & Booking Management: Prepare quotes, negotiate terms, and manage bookings using CRM and scheduling tools.
Cross-Department Coordination: Work with Operations and Logistics teams to ensure successful event execution and timely delivery.
Campaign Support: Collaborate with Marketing to support seasonal campaigns, promotions, and outreach strategies.
Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of leads, conversations, and sales activities; assist with forecasting and weekly reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years in inside sales, customer service, or event coordination.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, MovingUp, or similar).
Preferred:
Background in food service, catering, or event planning.
Knowledge of the Greater Houston area event landscape.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
