    Job Description

    The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals and work on dynamic team projects. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship that will begin May 28, 2019 until August 16, 2019. The intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the team. The Internship Program culminates with each Intern presenting on their Insmed experience to members of our staff.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the Medical Education & Grants Sr. Director on short and long-term projects with multiple internal stakeholders.
    • Major project includes collating all historical grants records for input into newly implemented computerized grants management portal working within Medical Affairs and with IT partners in preparation for Audit Readiness.    
    • Smaller special projects in Medical Education & Grants/Medical Affairs to be determined and based on candidate’s interests and strengths.
    • Learn internal policies/processes as well as external regulations (FDA, OIG, PhRMA, AMA, ACCME, etc) that govern Medical Education & Grants.
    • Ensure assigned projects are finalized and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of computerized systems and ability to think creatively is preferred.
    • Ability to think creatively and to independently produce multimedia presentations.
    • Open to students currently in full-time pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced level degree; PharmD or PhD candidates preferred.
    • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Must successfully exhibit Insmed’s five (5) values: Collaboration, Accountability, Passion, Respect, and Integrity; along with any other position specific competencies.
    • Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.
