    As a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (BDR), you will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in our client’s Austin office. Your main goals are to collaborate with Sales and Marketing to open important business opportunities for the company. This is a lead and pipeline development role combined with sales and marketing strategy collaboration and development.

    The Business Development Representative is a key role in our client’s business. This position represents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-growing company and gain extensive experience and knowledge working closely with our client’s company leaders.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Use prospecting strategies to lead outreach to prospects
    • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
    • Determine the prospect's interest in the company’s solutions
    • Schedule discovery meetings with our client’s prospects
    • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads
    • Travel to trade shows and industry events as needed

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of B2B experience as a Business Development Representative
    • Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills. 
    • Self-starter has innate hunger, tenacity and a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role.
    • A team player with passion for their work and possesses a serious work ethic!
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Familiarity with CRM tools, video conferencing technology, and MSOffice

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior work experience in the healthcare industry
    • Experience and knowledge about the health plan marketplace and operations is a significant advantage for candidates, but not a requirement
