Title: Mechanical Installation Engineer
Shift: Standard business hours; specific shift times may vary based on project needs. Up to 30% travel
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + OT annually, dependent on experience
Mechanical Installation Engineer Role:
Our client is seeking an Mechanical Installation Engineer to design, execute, and install mechanical systems and equipment for induction melting and heating applications. This role is essential for ensuring that all mechanical installations adhere to safety standards, technical specifications, and relevant codes, combining design expertise with project management and hands-on installation work.
Mechanical Installation Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive mechanical system designs, including drawings for air, water, hydraulic, and equipment rigging/installation
Select appropriate mechanical components and equipment for various induction systems
Oversee the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring strict compliance with design specifications and safety regulations
Conduct thorough testing and commissioning to verify functionality and safety of mechanical systems
Manage mechanical installation projects, coordinating effectively with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders
Ensure all projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget
Verify that all mechanical installations and operations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, developing effective and lasting solutions
Mechanical Installation Engineer Reporting Relationships:
This role typically reports to an Installation Manager or a senior engineering leader within our client's organization. This position does not have direct reports.
About You:
Possess strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles for the effective and safe operation of induction equipment
Demonstrate proficiency in using mechanical design software and performing calculations for mechanical systems
Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders
Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment to achieve project goals
Plan, organize, and manage mechanical installation projects efficiently
Ensure projects are completed both on time and within budget
A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
