The Installation Technician will be responsible for configuring, installing, and troubleshooting smart home and commercial automation systems, ensuring exceptional performance and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology and takes pride in high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, and service smart home and commercial systems
- Work with technologies including access control, security systems, cameras, audio/visual equipment, speakers, TVs, and home theaters
- Diagnose and resolve technical and electrical issues
- Deliver a high level of professionalism and client service on job sites
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position with occasional overtime
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, with some evenings/weekends as needed
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- 30–50 hours per week, depending on workload
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Audio/visual installation and programming
- Security, camera, or smart home systems
- Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable climbing ladders/scaffolding and working in tight or uneven spaces
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to use hand and power tools and distinguish colors
