    Job Description

    seeking a qualified staff augmentation Information Security Project Management resource to provide K-12 education-related Data Privacy expertise in support of legislated services required by the Student Data Transparency and Security Act (C.R.S. §§22-16-101 et al.) governing the privacy of Personally Identifiable Information. The Department is required to provide information security and privacy-related professional development services for Local Education Providers (LEPs), and this resource will contribute to the development and delivery of data privacy such as online, computer-based and in-person resources to fill that need. This position requires a senior level resource as he/she shall lead and participate in high priority and high visibility projects requiring interactions with Local Education Agencies (LEAs), vendor partners, nonprofit partners, at multiple levels of personnel within each organization. It is also critical that the applicant have extensive knowledge and experience with data privacy and information security systems in the K-12 education environment.

    The Contractor shall work closely and collaboratively with Department’s Project Manager to discuss suggestions or issues as they occur and incorporate suggestions or guidance from the Department while performing the work described within this Statement of Work and the purchase order. The Department may, at its sole discretion, use other contractors to perform activities related to this project.

    The Contractor shall perform all Work in accordance with all applicable Federal and State statutes, regulations and rules, as now and hereafter amended and the requirements described in the Contract.

    The Contractor may be privy to internal policy discussions, contractual issues, price negotiations, Department financial information and advance knowledge of legislation. Contractor shall only disclose this information with prior, written permission from the Department and in compliance with Department policies and procedures, State of Colorado policies and state and federal rules, regulations and statutes.

    The Contractor shall coordinate and prioritize all work to ensure that all deliverables and deadlines are met.

    The Contractor shall employ an internal quality control process to ensure that all deliverables are complete, accurate, easy to understand, and of high quality.

    The Contractor shall provide deliverables that, at a minimum, are responsive to the specific requirements, organized into a logical order, contain no spelling or grammatical errors, formatted uniformly, and contain accurate information and correct calculations.

    Contractor shall submit each Deliverable to the Department’s Project Manager for review and approval.

    The Contractor shall retain all work papers generated for reference through the duration of the project and project acceptance.

    The Contractor shall participate in the review and revision process, until the Department provides written acceptance of the deliverable.

    The Contractor shall provide copies of any supporting documentation to the Department upon request of the Department and without charge.

    The Contractor shall respond to all telephone calls, voicemails and e-mail inquiries from the Department within one (1) business day.

    The Contractor shall enable all Contractor staff to exchange documents and electronic files with the Department staff in formats compatible with the Department’s systems. The Department currently uses Microsoft Office 2010 for PC.

    The Contractor shall perform the Work on-site at the Department’s main office located at 201 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80203 or off-site at Contractor’s place of business. The Contractor shall be required to be on-site preparing for and delivering between two (2) and four (4) pilot or official trainings.
