Contact Interviewer - Weekend Schedule
The Contact Interviewer, an entry level public health professional, is responsible for performing interviews of contacts (i.e., persons who have been in contact with someone with a probable or confirmed COVID-19 infection). We are recruiting Contact Interviewers specifically to staff an onsite, 32 hour per week schedule that runs from Friday to Monday (9:30 am to 6:00 pm).
The Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHI) will hiring, training, and deploying a team of community contact tracing staff across Fairfax County, Virginia, who will work as an integrated part of the Fairfax County Health Department COVID-19 response effort. The aim will be to call every person in the county with probable or confirmed COVID-19, gather their contacts, and proceed to call every contact in the area. This is in tandem with government efforts to increase testing, improve public communication, and instruct on isolation and quarantine. This will fortify efforts to control the pandemic in Fairfax County.

Candidates will work onsite 32 hours per week that runs from Friday to Monday (9:30 am to 6:00 pm) at a local facility and must be proficient in the use of mobile phones and Microsoft Office applications. For an initial training period, IPHI may ask candidates to use their own technology to participate in virtual training, though accommodations can be made as required. Once onboarded, employees will be provided adequate technology for onsite work environments.
This is a temporary position in response to needs resulting from COVID-19. This position is designated as essential and is part of the County’s emergency response which operates seven days a week. The above schedule is subject to change based on response needs and shift work may be required with hours during evenings, weekends and most holidays.
COMPENSATION
$28.85 hourly
