    Richfield Early Learning Center, a charter school in Flint, MI, is currently seeking applications for an Instructional Aide for the 2025/2026 school year for Developmental Kindergarten.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Duties

    • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of children in the developmental kindergarten setting.

    • Provide individualized support to students, facilitating their learning and helping them achieve developmental milestones.

    • Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and other school-related events, ensuring their safety and well-being.

    • Assist with classroom management by promoting positive behaviors and addressing any behavioral challenges with appropriate strategies.

    • Support the preparation and organization of teaching materials, classroom set-up, and activities.

    • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress, challenges, and important updates.

    • Assist in the assessment of student performance and behavior, contributing to the development of personalized learning plans.

    • Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate students with varying needs and learning styles.

    • Participate in staff training, professional development, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to special education practices.

    • Help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that fosters emotional and social development.

    • Regular and predictable attendance

    Cognitive Demands:

    • Supervise multiple students at once

    • Provide instructional assistance to students in an individual or small group setting

    • Ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment for students

    • Participate in continuous professional development

    • Effective oral and written communication skills

    Physical Demands:

    • Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds

    • Stand and walk frequently

    • Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year

    • Assist/lift students if necessary

    • Withstand a moderate noise level

    Qualifications :

    Minimum of an Associate's degree or successful completion of Work Keys.

    Salary & Benefits:

    Beginning hourly rate is adjustable based on years of experience. Experienced aides at Richfield typically make $20/hour.
