The individual in this role will be a part of the data center support group, tasked with configuring SAN/NAS systems, managing backup solutions, and maintaining the security of the data center. This position includes monitoring and providing daily support to ensure the health and availability of IT systems and infrastructure, both on-premises and for cloud-based programs and applications. Responsibilities will involve planning, installation, and maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and managing all Storage Engineer servers and applications. The role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing an organization's data storage systems, working with networks, databases, and other high-capacity systems. The duties will include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all Storage Engineer servers and applications.
Required Skills
-Educational requirements include BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years
experience.
-Require anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP)
-Certification and CE/OS Certification.
-Experience with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized and converged environment.
-Experience maintaining a high availability datacenter.
-Relevant skills include VMWare Vsphere, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies and applications, and Active Directory.
