Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Crew Lead - Insulation Installer to join our USA Insulation of Fairfax county team. As a key member of our workforce, you will supervise and lead insulation installation projects while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role demands a blend of hands-on technical expertise, team leadership, and exceptional organizational skills. This role will involve additional training, for the right candidate, to move to general management of the Fairfax County location over the next 5-7 years
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
Set an example for the team through professionalism and dedication.
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of 2-4 insulation technicians.
Assign job responsibilities and delegate tasks effectively.
Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce company safety protocols.
Document project details with before/after photos, including time logs and material usage.
Qualifications
Be a Class A licensed insulation installer in Virginia or have the ability to hold the Class A license for the business
Minimum of 5 years of experience in insulation installation.
Commitment to Customer Service
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, with strong mechanical skills.
Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs and working in confined spaces or at heights.
Ability to work outdoors all year
Strong math skills for accurate measurements and material calculations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Valid driver’s license required.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Installation & Technical Expertise
Install insulation materials, including injection foam, fiberglass batt insulation, and blown insulation for residential customers.
Assess project sites and determine job specifications
Understand home construction including but not exclusive to siding removal, brick drilling, shingle removal, wood drilling and all areas of wall & attic installation.
Measure, cut, and fit insulation with precision, addressing obstructions as needed.
Operate and maintain equipment such as blowers, sprayers, and power tools.
Seal gaps, remove old insulation, and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions promptly.
Customer Service & Communication
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Keep home clean during and after installation (inside and out)
Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure customer satisfaction and job quality.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor in all customer interactions.
Pride yourself on high quality work and do the job right the first time
Ensure work sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Provide all customers with excellent customer service
Compensation and Benefits
Earnings with incentives: $65,000/year, plus paid overtime
2 weeks paid vacation plus holiday break from 24 Dec to 2 Jan, and most federal holidays
Comprehensive training provided in Cleveland, Ohio, in October 2025 (travel, lodging, and training costs covered, plus a $25/day per diem) plus $1000 salary for the week.
