Our Insurance Agent in Training (Protégé Program) is a one-year, structured development role designed for motivated individuals who want hands-on experience, mentorship, and a strong foundation in sales and agency operations.

    You’ll work inside an established Farmers agency, learning how to generate new business, support clients, and build core insurance knowledge while receiving ongoing coaching and training.

    Program Overview:

    One-year structured program with defined production requirements

    Expectation to produce $100k or $150k in premium within the year

    Learn how to quote, sell, service, and grow a book of business

    Gain foundational experience that prepares you for agency ownership opportunities

    Responsibilities:

    Provide quotes, pricing, and product information to prospective and existing clients

    Meet new business sales goals by leveraging existing leads and generating new opportunities

    Ensure all quoting and sales procedures follow Farmers guidelines

    Build relationships through networking, outreach, and community presence

    Participate fully in training, coaching, and development sessions

    Requirements:

    Ability to obtain (or currently hold) Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses

    Outgoing, confident, and comfortable talking to people

    Driven, hungry to learn, and committed to long-term professional growth

    Quick learner and strong team player

    Must pass credit and background check

    Prior sales, marketing, or networking experience is a plus
