This role is in need of a highly motivated insurance coverage attorney with 4 to 5 years of experience. The company’s insurance practice group represents insurers in a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters. Responsibilities:

• Research regarding coverage issues and writing coverage opinions providing legal advice to insurance clients across many different lines of liability coverage.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload for both first-party insurance disputes and coverage disputes arising from third-party liability coverage.
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, including depositions.
• Attend mediations and otherwise negotiate settlements.
• Retain and manage experts, including assisting with expert inspections and the creation of expert reports.
• Communicate with shareholders, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.

Experience:

• 4-5 years of insurance coverage experience
• Strong insurance knowledge
• Strong research and writing skills

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Required Skills:

• Experience preparing insurance coverage opinions and participating in coverage litigation.
• Experience analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting litigation documents, as well as superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Must have demonstrated the ability to work with clients who demand excellence and be able to meet their expectations.
