Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses
Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials (virtually or in person, as needed)
Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop case strategies
Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
Negotiate settlements and provide recommendations for case resolution
Maintain accurate case records and billing in accordance with firm/client guidelines
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Proficient in case management software and legal research tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
