    Our North Dallas law firm is seeking a full-time Insurance Defense Litigation Associate/Partner. The attorney should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in insurance defense litigation with experience in coverage and defense of first party claims. Relevant experience includes defense of cases in state and federal court involving serious bodily injuries and property damage. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter **** who possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fun, collaborative environment. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest quality client service, be detail oriented, **** be able to identify and resolve problems promptly, and be conscientious **** concerning work completion and deadlines.

    Responsibilities & Requirements:

    · Manage litigation and case defense of your own docket from start to finish

    · Evaluate coverage in personal lines and commercial insurance policies

    · Strong research and persuasive legal writing skills required

    · Evaluate and analyze facts and provide legal analysis

    · Render opinions on liability, damages, coverage and assess the value of claims

    · Develop defense strategies for motion practice and discovery

    · Draft pleadings, motions and discovery

    · Handle depositions and examinations under oath

    · Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences and trial

    · Demonstrated ability to work with clients and consistently meet or exceed expectations

    · Excellent communication skills in order to effectively convey case strategies and legal arguments

    Candidate must possess a J.D. degree from an accredited law school, be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, and perform limited travel as required for in-person trials, hearings, depositions and inspections.
