Miller Leiby is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our Premises Liability Litigation practice. This role will focus on defending slip-and-fall, trip-and-fall, snow/ice, and other general liability matters on behalf of commercial property owners, managers, and insurers.

Responsibilities

Manage premises liability cases from intake through resolution

Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment and labor law applications where applicable

Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts

Prepare mediations, settlement conferences, and trial presentations

Maintain consistent client communication and reporting

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school; admitted in New York (admission in other jurisdictions a plus)

Minimum 3 years of insurance defense experience with a focus on premises liability, general liability, and/or retail/commercial property litigation

Primary case venue will be NYC and surrounding counties

Familiarity with New York premises liability standards, including Administrative Code §7-210 and related local laws

Excellent analytical, writing, and courtroom skills
