Our client's firm is actively seeking a proficient Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys with various responsibilities related to corporate transactions and compliance. The ideal candidate should possess a solid grasp of corporate law and procedures, exceptional organizational prowess, and the capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law related to insurance defense.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including document management and witness preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring timely filings and compliance with court procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the legal team as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in an insurance defense or litigation environment.
- Strong knowledge of insurance law principles and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with trial preparation and court filings.
- Familiarity with electronic discovery and litigation support tools.
- Prior experience with case management software.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
