WHY THIS ROLE
This is a docket-ownership role from day one — not a doc review shop or a firm that keeps mid-levels in second chair. You'll independently manage catastrophic personal injury, product liability, and construction defect defense cases for insurance carriers, Fortune 500 corporations, oil & gas companies, and international delivery companies. The attorney-to-paralegal ratio is 2:1, giving you real leverage on case management. Comp ranges from $115K–$175K base ($130K–$204K OTE) depending on experience and trial capability, with quarterly bonuses tied to billable performance (10–15%+ of quarterly salary starting at 1,851+ hours). The firm carries a Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished rating and has six attorneys recognized on the Super Lawyers / Rising Stars lists. For an attorney who wants a long-term home in Houston insurance defense — not a stepping stone — with a transparent partnership track and a genuinely collegial, no-big-egos culture, this is worth serious consideration.
