    Job Description

    We’re looking for an OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – COMMERCIAL LINES INSURANCE to join our SHARED SERVICES TEAM!

    This position would work to increase the overall service and support received during the initial transition of new producers and/or clients, in order to enhance the producer/client onboarding experience and secure new business for the organization. Responsible for strategic coordination and execution of day-to-day administrative and customer service activities for assigned accounts, and capable of resolving complex customer service problems, showing the ability for critical thinking and thought process in taking the next step in the best interest of the client, carrier partner and IOA.

    OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – COMMERCIAL LINES INSURANCE essential functions include:

    • Directly manages account service staff within the Department, including communicating expectations, monitoring individual employee performance, coaching and counseling, and taking appropriate corrective actions as needed.
    • Serves as primary front-line Human Resource manager for staff, ensuring all HR processes, policies, and procedures are followed and administrative requirements met.
    • Monitors staff performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, taking corrective actions as needed.
    • Ensures appropriate staffing levels necessary to meet all operational and service goals, and recommends adjustments as needed.
    • Participates in new employee selection process, including interviewing and making hiring recommendations.
    • Prepares and delivers staff performance evaluations accurately and within required timeframes.
    • Proactively recognizes positive and negative staff performance trends and provides frequent coaching, consultation, encouragement, and praise.
    • Provides initial/new hire and ongoing staff training
    • Lives and champions IOA core values at all times, demonstrating the highest level of personal character, integrity, and servant leadership
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

    • 3+ years of commercial lines of Account Management experience; or 5+ years of related experience in the insurance industry
    • All required active licensing
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, delegation and decision-making skills
    • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
    • Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy
    • PC proficiency, including MS Office
    • Exceptional personal character, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others at all times
