The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communication skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Commit to remaining educated about the various types of insurance, insurance-related protocols, and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of program requirements and ensure our customers are satisfied • Offer personal attention when pursuing new clients through various marketing strategies to grow your existing portfolio of policyholders • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs • Collaborate with policyholders to develop insurance risk management and other profiles that specify the best policies for their evolving insurance needs • Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals • Drive new business through targeted outreach and referral-based marketing Qualifications: • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree a plus • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills are necessary; customer service skills are helpful • Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations that affect insurance sales, insurance clients, and the insurance industry as a whole • Valid insurance license required or candidates must be willing to get licensed • Basic understanding of sales lead or accounting software is helpful Compensation: $70,000 first year Average
