The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communications skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals • Commit to remaining educated about the various types of insurance, insurance-related protocols, and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of program requirements and ensure our customers are satisfied • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met • You will be responsible for expanding the company's book of business by selling various types of insurance policies to new and existing clients • Develop and calculate suitable plans based on clients' needs • Resolve client inquiries and complaints • Expand business reach through networking techniques • Comply with insurance standards and regulations • Track and identify areas of improvement Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office • Candidates must have or be willing to get an insurance license • Basic understanding of sales lead or accounting software is helpful • Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations that affect insurance sales, insurance clients, and the insurance industry as a whole • Strong negotiation skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritize and multitask Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 yearly
