Insurance Sales Agent

Rural Mutual Insurance is seeking motivated individuals to build relationships, serve their communities, and grow a successful insurance business. Insurance experience is welcome but not required. Through our financed agent program, we provide salary support, licensing assistance, coaching, and the tools needed to succeed. As an Insurance Agent, you'll develop customer relationships, identify insurance needs, recommend solutions, build community partnerships, and grow a book of business throughout Wisconsin. Successful agents come from a variety of backgrounds including sales, customer service, education, agriculture, banking, healthcare, military service, and business ownership. We invest in your success from day one through a base salary, commissions, bonus opportunities, training, and ongoing coaching. Agents meeting performance expectations generally earn between $75,000 and $85,000 in their first year. Responsibilities: • • Cultivate strong relationships with individuals, businesses, organizations, and customers through community engagement, strategic partnerships, and consultative, needs-based support. • Identify customer risks, coverage needs, and goals, then recommend appropriate insurance solutions to help protect what matters most. • Collaborate with underwriting and other internal teams to help deliver insurance solutions that meet customer needs. • Develop and execute a business development plan to generate new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and grow a successful book of business. • Provide responsive, high-quality customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and supporting customers throughout their insurance experience. • Maintain and expand industry and product expertise to deliver informed recommendations while staying attuned to evolving customer needs and market developments. Qualifications: • • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, customers, business partners, or community members. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information, products, services, or processes in a clear and understandable manner. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to accurately maintain records, customer information, and follow-up activities. • Ability and willingness to learn new information, stay current on industry developments, and apply knowledge to support customer needs and business goals. • Comfortable engaging with individuals, businesses, and community organizations to develop relationships and identify opportunities for growth. • Previous sales, customer service, business development, retail, hospitality, financial services, or other customer-facing experience is valued. We also welcome motivated individuals with transferable skills and a strong interest in building a career in insurance sales. • Experience supporting customers, clients, or business partners through application processes, service requests, problem resolution, account management, or similar transactions is a plus. • Current Property, Casualty, and Life Insurance licenses are preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing and able to obtain required licenses within 60 days of hire. Compensation: $48,000 - $85,000 (Base Salary PLUS Commissions and Bonuses)
