Responsibilities: • Implement marketing strategies including, but not limited, to cold calling and networking to connect with potential clients while simultaneously maintaining a portfolio of current clients • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients • Spend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstances • Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer’s individual needs • Keep an accurate log of sales databases, client reports, bookkeeping records, and more to share progress toward goals with key stakeholders • Build and maintain customized risk and coverage strategies for each client • Listen actively to identify client needs before recommending solutions • Drive new business through targeted outreach and referral-based marketing • Maintain accurate client records, activity logs, and performance reports • Stay current on product updates and industry trends affecting client coverage Qualifications: • Must be a superb communicator able to carefully analyze complex ideas like insurance programs; experience working in customer service is beneficial • Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license • Willingness to learn and master the insurance industry, including state and federal regulations • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills; customer service experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required • Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid health and life insurance license • Familiarity with CRM, or lead management software, is advantageous Compensation: $70,000 yearly
