    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    We are seeking a Workers Compensation Claims professional for a middle-market insurance brokerage in Southern California. This job is ideal for an experienced workers comp claims specialist who enjoys working independently and having the support of a seasoned team of claims professionals and a client service team including administrative support, producers, and account executives.

    LOCATION: The job is in Los Angeles, California

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Base salary: $85,000-$90,000

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage workers’ compensation claims for middle market clients in various industries including manufacturing, construction, etc.
    • Collaborate with claims adjusters and the management team to develop a plan of action to reduce cost of the claim
    • Analyze and monitor minor claims to determine client liability and exposure
    • Coordinate and communicate with client, team members, and carriers to identify claim needs, improve claim experience, and guarantee client expectations are met
    • Facilitate and attend client claim reviews to ensure an efficient and favorable resolution to open claims
    • Create focused and specialized reports and spreadsheets to meet client’s needs and expectations
    • Review claim statuses and plan of action and consider the effect on client costs, negotiating appropriate changes to ensure a positive client outcome
    • Research and obtain claim data from claim carriers and challenge adjusters as warranted while advocating the best possible results for clients

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of workers compensation claims experience
    • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Working knowledge of remainder of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Self-Starter with the ability to multitask, follow up, and work within a deadline
