    Job Title:

    Insurance Customer Service Representative - Brokered / Private Market Policy Processing

    Type of Position:

    • Full Time (40 Hours a week)

    • Occasional Weekend Days Required

    • Vacation Time and Paid Holidays

    Major Functions:

    Calling clients regarding insurance policies and required information to process/ maintain these policies.

    Communicating with an array of insurance brokers regarding the renewal process for current policies.

    Notating and following up on all renewals to completion.

    Processing policy changes.

    Collecting renewal payments.

    Answering the phones and answering client questions regarding renewals.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be skilled in organizing the workday efficiently while multi-tasking. Considerable ability to review policy and client information while conversing over the phone is a must. All team members are required to compose notes regarding all client correspondence and complete appropriate follow ups to complete pending tasks. Applicants must be familiar with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel. Comfortability working on a computer and navigating Microsoft Windows is required. Daily Job Description:This customer service position is specifically centered around a specific portion of our agency book of business requiring additional processing at renewal. Each day will require calls to clients currently in the process of renewing their policy as well as answering any incoming calls from current clients. A renewal list will be provided to the customer service representative so the renewals can be followed in a chronological fashion. These policies require multiple application forms and updated details on a annual basis, requiring meticulous organization. Timely follow up and detailed notation is imperative and will be completed daily. This position works closely with the agency owner and office manager so they can advise the insured on changes that need to be made, changes at renewal, or alternative markets available.

    Licensing:

    A 4-40 license is required within 2 weeks of hire. Reimbursement for fingerprinting and licensing is available after 90 days of employment.Experience is preferred, but not required.
