POSITION SUMMARY
The Insurance Specialist II performs a variety of duties related to insurance coverage and claims. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with policy review and renewal.
- Maintain calendar for insurance notices, conference calls and other dates and correspondence.
- Coordinate with Property and Regional managers on documents needed for insurance claims and litigation.
- Work with external agencies to gather information for supporting documents.
- Maintain organized files.
- Participate in various ad hoc projects and activities.
- Ensure organization confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree preferred.
- Prior Insurance experience 2-4 years.
- 215, 220, or 440 License with FL Dept of Financial Services preferred (no Public Adjuster).
- Insurance Underwriting, Agency, Carrier, Third Party Administrator experience a plus.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, professional phone skills.
- Energized and Enthusiastic candidate required.
