Robert Levy MDPC in Dearborn, MI is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist/Receptionist to join our team! This dual-role position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys being the welcoming face of a practice while keeping insurance operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients, managing front desk operations with professionalism and warmth

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments

Process insurance claims, authorizations, and referrals accurately and in a timely manner

Answer and direct incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries

Collect co-pays

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times

Requirements:

Prior experience in a medical office and insurance verification

Familiarity with insurance terminology

Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-first attitude

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
