    ** Job Summary**

    As an Intake Specialist, your primary mission is to ensure eligible Meals on Wheels clients are onboarded accurately, efficiently, and compassionately. You will serve as a key communication link between clients, referral sources, and internal teams while safeguarding program compliance and service integrity.

    ** Key Responsibilities**

    • Client Intake Leadership: Serve as the first point of contact for new clients and referral sources, ensuring a welcoming and professional intake experience.
    • Interview & Documentation Management: Conduct intake interviews, gather required information, and maintain accurate data entry and records.
    • Eligibility & Authorization Oversight: Review documentation, verify eligibility, and maintain client authorizations and service schedules.
    • Communication Excellence: Provide clear, timely communication with clients, referral partners, and agencies regarding meal services and updates.
    • Program Support & Accountability: Assist in meeting Meals on Wheels goals, participate in quality improvement efforts, and support meal delivery when needed.

    ** Qualifications**

    • Education Foundation: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Professional Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in customer service, call center, or office environment; healthcare experience preferred.
    • Customer Service Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
    • Organizational Strength: Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
    • Licensure & Compliance: Valid Texas Driver’s License, reliable transportation with current insurance, and ability to pass background screening.
    • Language Skills: Bilingual abilities are a plus.

    ** Working Conditions**

    This position is primarily office-based with extended sitting and computer use. Occasional driving may be required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
