    Riverside Legal Aid is seeking a full-time Intake Specialist for our Indio office.

    Riverside Legal Aid is a nonprofit law firm dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income residents throughout Riverside County. Our team is committed to expanding access to justice by providing high-quality legal representation, education, and advocacy to individuals and families in need.

    This position serves as the first point of contact for many of our clients and plays a critical role in ensuring they receive compassionate, professional, and efficient assistance.

    Position Responsibilities

    Answer, screen, and transfer incoming telephone calls.

    Return client voicemail messages promptly and professionally.

    Conduct client intake interviews using our case management system.

    Determine eligibility for services and schedule appointments.

    Enter accurate, clear, and concise intake notes.

    Upload and organize client documents for attorney review.

    Assist attorneys and paralegals with case management and administrative support.

    Respond to client inquiries or direct clients to the appropriate staff member.

    Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized reception area.

    Represent Riverside Legal Aid at occasional community outreach events.

    Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

    Schedule

    Monday–Thursday: In-office (Indio)

    Friday: Remote work from home

    Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    Compensation & Benefits

    $28.00 per hour

    Qualifications

    Required

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Bilingual in English and Spanish

    Strong customer service and communication skills

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds

    Basic computer proficiency

    Preferred

    Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or intake experience

    Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office

    Experience working in a legal office, nonprofit organization, or social services environment
