Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Network Engineer - Telephony performs a variety of complex technical duties in providing information systems and technology support for the achievement of the clients mission and objectives by helping to administer and maintain operating stability and efficiency and helps ensure the security and reliability of the clients network and voice systems and infrastructure. Administers, maintains and expands the clients Cisco VoIP phone system, conducts technology research; assists in determining purchase decisions on relevant hardware; deploys and configures new hardware and software and performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Configure, maintain and support Cisco switching, ,routing VOIP and VTC infrastructure across multiple enterprise environments/ locations, both remotely and on-site
Perform basic configurations within Active Directory and server infrastructures (mix of virtual and physical)
CUIC reporting
Partner and work with 3rd party teams and vendors
-Train and mentor staff as necessary and appropriate
Troubleshoot and resolve complex user issues
Provide advanced troubleshooting for VOIP applications and systems, determining cause and effect.
Provide 24x7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
Understand and apply advanced system / application administration, management and performance tuning techniques with CUCM, UCS, Call Manager, etc.
-Assist with day-to-day operation support, performance turning, disaster recovery and patch management
Build advanced VXML scripts
Manage multiple protocols including SIP, MGCP and H.323
Create and manage advanced dial plan designs
Tone out, move and punch down analog phone lines as necessary
Administer e-facing solution (RightFax)
Create and maintain documentation including policies, procedures and diagrams.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree Information Technology or related field preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
-3-5 years Cisco call center administration required
-3-5 years Experience with VOIP, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity voicemail and WebEx or similar video-conferencing technologies required.
-3-5 years Experience with Cisco routers and switches required
-1-3 years SIP, MGCP and H.323 protocols preferred
-1-3 years Experience troubleshooting (toning, moving, punching down) analog phone lines preferred
