Job Title: Rough Carpenter / Laborer Duration: 3-6 Weeks Location: Wauwatosa, WI Start Date: January 5, 2024

This is a 1099 position for 3-6 weeks. Wages negotiated with company owner.

Responsibilities:

Perform rough carpentry and general labor tasks in a commercial setting.

Assist in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Handle materials, clean up site, and perform other tasks as directed by the foreman.

Requirements:

Experience in rough carpentry and general labor, particularly in a commercial environment.

Own basic carpentry tools such as a tape measure, pencil, speed square, and hammer.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Good physical condition and strength; capable of lifting heavy materials and performing strenuous tasks.

Reliable transportation to the job site (car preferred, but arrangements might be possible).

Schedule:

Must be available to start as early as this Friday.

Meet with the foreman on Thursday afternoon for preliminary orientation and site walkthrough.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred, but hard working laborers will be considered

Good grasp of math

Ability to read and take action on blueprints DESIRED

Own tools, including a speed square, hammer, tape measure - DESIRED

Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools

Knowledge of building regulations and codes - DESIRED

Own transportation to job site, although possible accommodations might be made
