  • Responsibilities

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:  

    The IIC Administrator shall oversee IIC’s ongoing business operations and procedures. This position will report to the President and CEO and shall be responsible for the efficient and effective execution of IIC’s strategic plan and initiatives. IIC serves as a parent organization to 8 Chicagoland radiology practices that have come together as Members to optimize their clinical, financial, operational, and strategic interests. This position will take the necessary steps to ensure that Members receive documented and verifiable value for the membership dues that they pay to IIC.  This position will also evaluate the services that IIC can and should provide to its’ Members and will develop and implement plans to deliver those services optimally.  This position shall assume primary accountability for the development and execution of a Go to Market Plan for the emerging MSO initiative.

    The position of IIC Business Administrator will be assisted by a Physicians Services Specialist to support appropriate activities. 

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  

    A. Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.     

    B. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth. 

    C. Communicates organizational wide goals and areas of focus to IIC Members in conjunction with President and CEO.  

    D. Evaluate the performance of the Revenue Cycle function through the preparation of a data driven dashboard and develop and implement recommendations to improve collection performance, patient service levels and/or reduce overall costs to collect.  

    E. Assist in preparing monthly reporting packets that include key performance indicators with trending, successes and opportunities, claim errors/rejections, denial trends, cash collections, selfpay and bad debt analytics related to revenue cycle activities. 

    F. Make quarterly site visits to each Member to ensure IIC visibility and to create an effective communication environment.   

    G. Establish policies and procedures that promote IIC company culture and growth. 

    H. Oversee the daily operations of IIC. 

    I. Attend IIC Board and Board Committee meetings and provide leadership and support to physician Chairs as needed.  

    J. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and explain variances in operating performance as necessary. 

    K. Stand up MSO service line and develop and implement a Go to Market plan to attract clients as needed to achieve financial objectives.  

    L. Enhance / expand the suite of services that IIC offers to its Members/MSO clients and optimize service levels and cost structure to provide services.  

    M. Analyze services provided to Members and make recommendations related to insourcing vs. 

    outsourcing of key service lines including revenue cycle management.  

    N. Maintain primary relationships with IIC vendor community.

    ➢ Communication: The IIC  ADMINISTRATOR must possess executive-level written and verbal communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups of diverse internal/external stakeholders, and have proven skill in negotiating and mediating conflict 

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT SCOPE 

    Direct Reports include Supervisors consisting of between 1– 5 FTEs.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    LEVEL OF EDUCATION 

    Bachelor’s Degree required. An advanced degree (CPA, MBA, MHA) is preferred.  

    FIELD OF STUDY  

    Healthcare or Business preferred.  

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 

    4 years minimum in a healthcare management role preferably working directly with physicians.
