    Join our expanding team at Integrated Proteins in Kansas City, KS as a Quality Technician. Your primary role will involve conducting tests and inspections on products to ensure adherence to our high-quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering exceptional animal products. We are looking to fill multiple shifts: Weekday 1st Shift (5:00 am to 1:30 pm) Weekday 2nd Shift (1:00 pm to 9:30 pm) Responsibilities: • Perform standardized tests on product • Notify production and management immediately when the product is out of specification • Assist in managing retain program • Create Retain samples for all inbound and outbound loads (for 6-month storage) • Complete paperwork as directed using good documentation practices • Monitor shared lab email inbox and make sure all emails are responded to in a timely manner • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on lab equipment • Notify Lead and Quality Manager when supplies are running low • Provide information to production staff and management when requested • Communicate any safety or quality concerns with plant management and corporate quality • Keep lab neat and clean • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • College degree preferred • S. Diploma or GED and 1+ year laboratory experience • Proficiency with Office 365 (primarily Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) • Reliable, Organized, Efficient, Attention to detail • Clear verbal communicator • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to manage multiple projects independently • Able to multi-task and prioritize • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, walk, reach, squat, push, pull, and climb stairs for extended periods of time • Must be able to work from elevated surfaces and/or in confined spaces for extended periods of time • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Compensation: $21 - $22 hourly
