    Integrated Proteins in North Kansas City, MO, US is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout our organization. Responsibilities: • Monitor various shared email inboxes (dispatch@integrated-pro.com and logistics@integrated-pro.com) • Request ETAs for customers and suppliers from drivers • Provide ETAs to the customer service team to prepare for the next business day • Utilize NewBOS proficiently to enter, schedule, and dispatch loads; ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods • Run reports and provide to the Customer Service and Transportation Managers in relation to load handling, customer concerns, etc. • Maintain a firm understanding of product flow in and out of our facilities; using this knowledge to optimize transportation processes • Communicate with carriers by phone, email, or in-person to coordinate transportation activities • Communicate facility requirements with all driver contact • Communicate Prohibited Priors and Wash Policy to drivers. Provide updates to drivers when the policy is updated • Maintain a professional workspace and workflow • Demonstrate knowledge of time zones and geography to ensure accurate scheduling occurs • Update freight status, hauler, and freight rate in NewBOS as needed • Adhere to DOT regulations and hours of service guidelines to maintain safety, compliance, and on-time deliveries • Participate in any DOT compliance or safety trainings to stay up-to-date on changes in the industry • Monitor transportation processes and procedures and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs • Ensure all customer loads in transit data is provided to customers daily prior to end of shift • Participate in webinars and stay up-to-date on technology changes and industry best practices • Reviewing Bill of Lading and other shipping documents to ensure accuracy • Tracking and correcting errors in NewBOS, as needed • Support the transportation and customer service teams as needed • Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Requirements: • High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent • Ability to stay calm when customers and drivers are stressed or upset • Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems • Proficiency using Outlook • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Office 365 Skills: • Outstanding verbal communicator • Personable and attentive • 10-key • Able to multi-task Preferred: • Previous experience with an ERP system or TMS • Experience with SharePoint • 1-3 years previous experience in the transportation industry • Knowledge of DOT regulations related to carrier hours and transit times Compensation: $26 - $29.04 hourly
