Our group provides services in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, inpatient Med-Surg hospitals & emergency departments, psychiatric residential programs, PHP/IOP programs, outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, federally qualified health centers, critical access hospitals, and skilled/long-term nursing facilities. Our providers see patients of all age groups and have experience treating a wide variety of mental health disorders.     JOB SUMMARY:

    We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated PRN Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to be responsible for treating children and adolescents in partnership with their family members/guardians, treatment team members, and direct care employees in an inpatient setting. PRN positions are available in person for weekends or holiday coverage. 

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Provides direct services including psychiatric evaluations, medication management as well as treatment planning/reviews and other required documentation for assigned patients.

    • Follows and ensures that providers in the medication clinic follow agency policy/procedures, including all emergency procedures.

    • Ensures patients are referred to appropriate programs and services as clinically appropriate and communicates need to nursing staff to ensure referrals are completed.

    • Monitors treatment progress and utilization management and facilitates client discharge at completion of treatment and/or once the client is stabilized.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • EDUCATION:  Doctor degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited university.
    • EXPERIENCE: Board Eligible Residents are accepted for weekend coverage. 
    • LICENSURE: MD or DO license in State of Kansas and Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drug license in State of Kansas

    PRN positions are available in person for weekends or holiday coverage providing services to child and adolescents in the inpatient setting.
