    Job Summary

    We are looking for a Community Support Staff to join our team! You will be directly working with individuals, following a one-on-one care plan with clients in the community their homes. One of the services is community Inclusion. This is when a Direct Support Professional staff member provides integration in the community that supports to help individuals in gaining skills necessary to live within their home and community is possible. Integrative Human Services life skills coaches will encourage, prompt, and support the individual to obtain their goals that including activities of daily living (ADL). ADLs are person-centered and include anything that is important to them in living a more productive, healthy, and independent life. Another type of community support services is Systematic Skill Building (SSB). This service is designed to support individuals in acquiring skills that promote their independence and their participation in their community. SSB utilizes techniques from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Used to build skills that include communication, social skills, community participation, vocations, and independent living in order to improve quality of life. Also, we are searching for Behavioral Specialist Services (BSS), to provide support to individuals with behaviors that can create obstacles for them to be active in their community or live at home, where disruptive or destructive behaviors hinder these opportunities. Utilizing a Behavioral Specialist, an individualized, comprehensive plan can be created to support the individual, family, and those working with the individual so that they may gain and use skills that allow them to be more independent.

    Responsibilities

    Assist clients with daily activities such as scheduling, engaging in activities in the community, or volunteer work.

    Care for clients by guiding them on cooking skills, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.

    Maintain records of clients, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor

    Build relationships with clients by conversing and empowering their social skills.

    Help clients keep up-to-date medication times and doctor appointments.

    Engage clients in exercises, therapeutic walks, or other activities

    Qualifications

    Access to a vehicle

    Driver’s license required
