    Job Description

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Systems Engineer serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration and engineering and support for complex IT environments and will actively manage customer environments and infrastructure, including servers, workstations, switches, firewalls, databases, security tools, software, system tools, business applications, and other processes. You will work with a team of systems engineers and support engineers responsible for the technical support, design, planning, implementation, and troubleshooting necessary to achieve the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for enterprise systems for clients. You will be empowered to leverage Integritek’s ticketing platform and dashboards to manage your ticket queue and will work in a team environment to enhance your knowledge and that of your teammates.

    PERSONALIZED SUPPORT  Develop an in-depth knowledge base of your client’s technical infrastructure ecosystem, culture and communication preferences.  Keep customers informed of progress, changes and solutions in a timely and effective manner that exceeds expectations and is in alignment with their culture and communication preferences.  Maintain client specific documentation in Integritek’s systems according to standards and specifications.  Support essentials such as operating systems, servers, workstations, security tools, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, business applications, security updates and patches in various environments  Support in the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and troubleshooting for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity (hardware, operating systems, software, systems tools and IT processes).  Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and performance.  Support the deployment of network architecture; support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems.  Serve as a point of escalation, providing technical support, as needed, to Support Technicians and Field Services teams.

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT  Manage client projects as assigned, coordinating activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers.  Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, flexibility in concepts and action, able to handle aggressive mission critical deadlines.  Seek to overcome challenges and accept failure as an opportunity for improvement.

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS  Advanced knowledge managing Microsoft Technologies including: Windows Server (2003-2016), Microsoft Exchange (2003-2016 and Office 365), SQL Server (2000-2016).  Proficiency with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls, switches and routers from various manufacturers.  Advanced knowledge of networking design, management, configuration, troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, VMPLS, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls, etc.)  Experience supporting clustered environments.  Well-rounded knowledge of storage solutions (MD, Compellent, HP, Nimble, QNAP, etc.).  Maintenance of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMWare.  Management of various disaster recovery solutions.  VOIP troubleshooting and maintenance.

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION  6+ years relevant technical experience  3+ years working for a managed service provider or similar business  The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.  Industry certifications preferred but not required (CCNA, MCSE, Server+)

    OTHER EXPECTATIONS  A general understanding of our industry is expected; familiarity with IT management consulting services is helpful.  Adherence to all job-related practices, policies, and procedures.  Reliable transportation and current auto insurance to travel for onsite customer support.  Constant, quick, and accurate use of a personal computer, automation systems, and office equipment.
