Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a caseload of ≈50-70 DB/DC plans depending on experience/performance
· Provide effective and timely verbal and written communication in a clear, concise, and informative manner to clients and financial advisors
· Assist the client with all initial and ongoing plan questions
· Assist the client in meeting all IRS and Department of Labor deadlines necessary for qualified retirement plans
· Prepare plan distribution and loan paperwork
· Perform annual compliance testing and corrections as necessary
· Prepare Trust Accounting and other required annual reports
· Prepare and/or review IRS Forms 5500 and all related schedules
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
· Four-year college or university degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field
· 2+ years of experience as an ERISA DB/DC plan administrator
· Experience with FT Williams software preferred
· Advanced knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code as it relates to compliance testing, Forms 5500, plan design, and plan document interpretation
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 productivity software
· Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Work well in a team environment; team player
· Detail oriented, organized, accurate; ability to self-check work
· Excellent research and problem-solving skills
· ASPPA or NIPA Designations preferred but not required
