Director of Business Valuation & Litigation

The Company: Our client has been serving the community for over 75 years and has worked their way to a top 50 accounting firm. Our client offers a broad range of services to their clients including services related to tax, accounting, audit, business advisory, valuation, financial planning, wealth management, IT and support services. 

The Position: This position oversees and leads a team of professionals responsible for providing expert valuation and litigation support services to clients. This role requires a deep understanding of finance, accounting, and legal principles, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. The Director is responsible for managing client engagements, conducting complex financial analyses, and providing expert testimony in litigation proceedings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years’ experience in business valuation required
• Must hold one or more of the following valuation credentials (CFA, CVA, ASA, or ABV)
• Litigation and forensic support experience preferred
• Must possess and excellent research skills
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• This person should be highly analytical
• Can work in a group as well as independently

Responsibilities:

• Business development and management of valuation and litigation support projects originating out of the South Florida market, including our client's offices located in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples, Stuart, and Boca Raton.
• Oversee and mentor analysts and managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Manage office P&L
• Develop and support referral sources in region.
• Serve as valuation resource for all our client's accounting and wealth management team members in the Florida region.
• Collaborate with other valuation regional directors to grow practice.
