Executive Director of Nursing
Our client is a not-for-profit health care organization that provides affordable, primary health care services to the residents of Pinellas County, Florida. They currently operate 12 health centers, and a Mobile Health Center through Pinellas County.
The Position: Our Client is looking for an Executive Director of Nursing. This position manages and directs all administrative and daily operations of all client locations; ensures all company, federal, state, local and accreditation agency rules, regulations, and requirements are met through evidence bases outcome management. Our Client is offering the following salary and benefits:
- $115,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Requirements:
- BSN degree required; Master’s degree prefer in a related area of assignment and/or four years of related experience
- Minimum (5) years management experience in a medical or related field ‘required
- Active and unencumbered nursing license in the State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
- Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of client
- Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
- Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, reports and/or corrects unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs
- Confidentiality of all data, including patient, employee, and operations data
- Quality Improvement and compliance with all regular requirements
- Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior
- Supports and participates in common teamwork:
- Cooperates and works together with all care team members, plans, and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment
- Remain calm and poised in urgent or stressful situations
- Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, care team members or patients regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns
- Promotes positive public relations with patients, visitors, and the community
- Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform, and dress codes including personal hygiene
- Ability to work with persons from a wide diversity of social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds
- Effectively and efficiently completes all duties as assigned
- Collaborates with Center Leaders in the selection of staff, staff scheduling, evaluations, corrective action processes, discharge, reward and recognition
- Ensures the highest quality of comprehensive health care is provided at the lowest cost
- Participates in the Quality Assurance Committee, ensuring all actions to improve are in congruence with the recommendations of the Board of Directors
- Reviews all reports/documentation of center activities and operations
- Collaborates with clinical leaders and/or the Clinical Operations Director and the Facilities Director in the selection and safety of all clinical equipment
- Participates/reviews all emergency drills, including fire and hurricane drills
- Meets with medical providers, the Chief Medical Officer and the Clinical Operations Director, to address clinical issues/processes
- Ensures ongoing staff development, education and training are provided and evaluated for efficacy
