Mental Health Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Full-time 3 days a week 12 Hours Shifts
• Weekends as Needed
• Provide Direct Patient Care Under the Supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Monitor Patient Vitals
• Facilitate CBT Group Therapies
• Stabilize or Redirect Patients
• 15-minute Rounding Throughout the Unit to Maintain a Safe and Therapeutic Environment
• Assure Compliance with Applicable Laws Pertaining to Inpatient Behavioral Health Care
• Maintain All Patient Documentation
• Includes Assisting Patients in Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, Shaving, Toileting, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology Preferred
• Must-Have At Least 1 Year of Experience in an Acute Psychiatric Setting
• CPI Trained and Certified
• CPR Certified
• Working Knowledge of General and Psycho-Education Group Therapy, Therapeutic Relationships, and Age Specific Growth and Development
• Bilingual is a Plus
