Medical Assistant

Our client provides total healthcare to the entire community through a network of 11 community medical, dental, and behavioral health offices serving Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties.

The Position: Medical assistants (MAs) are essential staff at most primary care practices. They keep patients flowing through the clinic and ensure that providers have the information and tools they need. The client offers the following salary and benefits:

Requirements:

• Experience with Medical Assisting including a good clinical knowledge base
• Working Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
• Ability to Work With Physicians and Mid-Level Providers
• If Certified - Must Have Graduated from an Accredited School with Certification
• Clean background

Responsibilities:

• Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
• Saturday work may be involved
• May involve light travel around Washington County
• Duties include checking a patient’s vital signs, performing a physical exam and obtaining the patient’s medical history.
• Will obtain a medical history by asking patients questions about their medical conditions, medications and allergies. Will records any findings into the patient charts and alerts the physician of the results.
