Job Description

The SALES AND MERCHANDISING ASSOCIATE is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience and driving sales and profit by offering world-class customer service, accurate pricing and signing, and ensuring proper stock levels, resets, audits and visual merchandising throughout the Store.

Operational duties include but are not limited to setting up vignettes and displays, including signage for promotional events/sales, completing price changing activities, and ringing point of sale transactions.  He/she will also be engaged in store events like chef demos, wine tastings, as well as off-site events such as local Chamber of Commerce events and One Loudoun events.  He/she must be enthusiastic, innovative, and passionate in order to foster a positive work environment.  He/she will be technologically savvy and promote displays and events via social media.

Qualifications

Two year’s retail experience with visual merchandising

University Degree in business, hospitality, or retail & merchandising ideal

Social media experience highly desired

Specialty retail, sales, restaurant, or bar experience

Friendly, helpful, effective communicator, solicits and incorporates feedback for professional growth and development

Fast learner, extensive product knowledge and product ownership, supporting the consumer experience on the sales floor when not involved in merchandising activities.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Thrives in a sales culture; delights customers and drives business results

Flexible work schedule including closing, Saturdays and holidays

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
