Job Description

The SALES AND EVENTS ASSOCIATE is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience and driving sales and profit by offering world-class customer service, accurate pricing and signing, and ensuring proper stock levels, resets, audits and visual merchandising throughout the Store.

Operational duties include but are not limited to aligning with store management on strategy surrounding SRS special events and community involvement, traveling to Chamber of Commerce events and local community special events and venues, as well as completing price changing activities, and ringing point of sale transactions. 

He/she will collaborate with other departments in preparation for promotional and professional events (gift bags, prize wheel items, signage, booth setup/clean up, collecting email addresses, etc.)  He/she must be enthusiastic, innovative, and passionate in order to foster a positive work environment.  He/she will be technologically savvy and promote events via social media.

Qualifications

Two year’s retail, sales, or marketing experience preferred

Tradeshow background desirable

University Degree in business, hospitality, or retail ideal

Social media experience  

Specialty retail, sales, restaurant, or bar experience

Friendly, helpful, effective communicator, solicits and incorporates feedback for professional growth and development

Fast learner, extensive product knowledge and product ownership, supporting the consumer experience on the sales floor when not involved in event-related activities.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Thrives in a sales culture; delights customers and drives business results

Flexible work schedule including closing, Saturdays and holidays

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
