    Reports To: Branch Manager/Operations Director

    Required Shift: 7am – 3:30pm, rotating schedule, weekend availability, on-call

    Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

    Position: The Mall Janitor Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations of the shopping mall. This role involves managing janitorial staff, coordinating with other departments, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the mall, and handling administrative tasks related to the janitorial services.

    Core Responsibilities:

    Staff Management:

    Recruit, train, and supervise janitorial staff.

    Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure all areas of the mall are cleaned efficiently.

    Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training as needed.

    Address any disciplinary issues promptly and effectively.

    Operational Oversight:

    Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

    Monitor the execution of cleaning tasks to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

    Conduct regular inspections of the mall to identify areas needing attention or improvement.

    Inventory and Supplies Management:

    Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

    Order new supplies as needed and ensure proper storage and usage.

    Track and manage budget expenditures for janitorial supplies and equipment.

    Health and Safety Compliance:

    Ensure all cleaning practices comply with health and safety regulations.

    Train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

    Implement and monitor protocols for handling hazardous materials and spills.

    Customer Service:

    Address and resolve any complaints or concerns from mall tenants or visitors regarding cleanliness.

    Maintain a customer-focused attitude and ensure the janitorial team provides excellent service.

    Administrative Duties:

    Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, inventory, and maintenance activities.

    Prepare reports on cleaning operations and submit them to the Facilities Director.

    Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities during special events or peak times.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Identify opportunities to improve cleaning processes and implement best practices.

    Stay updated on new cleaning technologies and methods.

    Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the janitorial team.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or degree in facilities management is a plus.

    Proven experience in a janitorial or facilities management role, preferably in a commercial or retail environment.

    Strong leadership and team management skills.

    Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

    Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.

    Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning.

    Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Skills:

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

    Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

    Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.

    Working Conditions:

    The role involves walking, standing, and moving around the mall for extended periods.

    Occasional lifting and carrying of heavy cleaning equipment and supplies.

    Exposure to cleaning chemicals and materials.
