  • Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    1. Oversee routine Preventative Maintenance on sterilization equipment and facilities' HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

    2. Troubleshoot critical utilities and systems related to sterilization equipment, including steam boilers, chilled water, and nitrogen systems.

    3. Manage maintenance and repair of the Sterilization building's HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing systems.

    4. Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized projects and routine services regarding sterilization equipment.

    5. Lead projects for new equipment installation, upgrades, and building improvements.

    6. Perform validation on new equipment and processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT) and write validation protocols.

    7. Provide expertise in continuous improvement, quality enhancement, and cost reduction efforts for sterilization processes.

    8. Coordinate annual equipment requalification and manage budget for projects, spare parts, and maintenance.

    9. Assess spare part inventories and perform calibration duties as needed.

    10. Lead the sterilization Emergency Response Team and be available for overtime and weekend calls for repairs.

    11. Ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations, including local, state, and federal standards.

    12. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Critical Knowledge and Skills:

    1. Ability to interpret PID, plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics.

    2. Proficiency in fire alarm systems, BAS (Building Automation System), and controls/instrumentation systems.

    3. Knowledge of electrical classifications and hazardous area requirements.

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering with five years of experience.

    2. Associate's Degree with ten years of experience.

    3. Journeyman in skilled trade with ten years of experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Experience in Risk Management or Process Safety Management.

    2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
